Staff Plus is hiring an experienced Machine Operator in the Food Production Industry!

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator – Filling Machine to join a dynamic food processing facility. If you have experience in food production and operating filling or packaging machinery, we want to hear from you!

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Scarborough, ON

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Hours: 

• Day Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Duties

As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Operate and monitor filling machines to accurately portion and fill food products
• Set up machines at the beginning of shifts to ensure proper working order
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure product consistency and compliance with safety and quality standards
• Load materials (containers, packaging, food ingredients) into machines as needed
• Troubleshoot and report any machine malfunctions or irregularities
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work area according to food safety guidelines
• Accurately record production data, downtime, and maintenance activities
• Follow all safety and hygiene procedures in a food production environment
• Perform other general production or warehouse tasks as assigned

• Previous machine operating experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Familiarity with GMPs and food safety protocols an asset
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
