This hands-on role involves programming elevator communication devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Job Type: Temporary, on-going assignment

Location: Mississauga, ON

Pay Rate:  $23.00/Hour

Hours: DAY SHIFT Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm 

 

 What You'll Do:

  • Program and configure elevator communication devices based on job-specific requirements (e.g. PI screens, touchscreens, controller boards)
  • Create and manage custom programming files according to internal documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve internal technical issues related to programmable components
  • Test and validate returned programmable parts as per company’s procedures
  • Collaborate with inventory and stockroom teams to fulfill programming requests
  • Notify appropriate departments of inventory shortages related to programmed components
  • Ensure programming files and bill of materials align with job specifications
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs of programmed items
  • Provide technical support to internal departments (not direct customer interaction)
  • Participate in process improvements and internal training initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 - 2 years in a technical support role
  • Must have electrical knowledge
  • Great organizational skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of software and internal applications (E.g. MS Office, ERP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot customer issues and prove solutions
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task in an extremely fast paced work environment
  • Able to lift up to 15lbs
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
