Fixture Assembler

Job Description

We’re looking for Fixture Assemblers to support end-to-end manufacturing processes. In this role, you may operate machinery, assemble components, and perform quality inspections to ensure product standards are met.

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Mississauga, ON

Pay Rate: $19.50/hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, Afternoons   Monday- Friday 4:00pm to 1:00am and  Friday 3:00pm to 12:00am midnight

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify buttons and components accurately and interpret assembly drawings with precision
  • Assemble products within defined time frames and quality standards
  • Operate manual hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Conduct visual inspections and use measuring devices to ensure quality compliance
  • Production rework assembly
  • Identify non-conformance's
  • Complete shop records accurately
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Handle medium-to-heavy materials as needed (up to 15 lbs)
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in light assembly work
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in custom production
  • Strong manual dexterity with the ability to perform both simple and complex assemblies in a fast-paced setting
  • Medium to highly detail-oriented
  • Experience with electrical fixtures component manufacturing preferred
  • Able to lift and handle materials weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position

Additional Information

May be exposed to warm environments approximately 15% of the time. Noise exposure is minimal to none
