Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Hours: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm (flexibility required)
What You’ll Do:
- Provide hands-on leadership to the production team by leading and supervising daily tasks and activities.
- Responsible supervising the line employees’ work quality, productivity, and attendance, all while ensuring maximum quality output in a safe and profitable manner.
- Lead by example and maintain a safe work environment by enforcing Company policies and guidelines, including strict adherence to food safety and health and safety systems
- Ensure GMPs are being followed at all times
- Oversee equipment set up, ensuring machine settings are appropriate based on product specification
- Provide orientation and training for all new team members, assess individual performance
- Manage daily workflow and break schedules
- Report to the Production Manager any issues, hazards, unsafe conditions, absence or defects in equipment, and any contravention of health and safety policies
- Ensure product is finished and packed according to customer specification
- Maintain accurate inventory control of raw materials, packaging, sanitation chemicals, and finished goods; ensure production areas are equipped with supplies to avoid stoppage/downtime
- Monitor product temperature prior to packaging
