Job Description

We're hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Wiring Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling, installing, and repairing electrical wiring and components in various settings, including panels, machinery, and infrastructure systems. Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Mississauga, ON

Pay Rate: $23.50/hour

Hours:  Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday    Monday-Thursday  4:00pm to 1:00am Friday 3:00pm to 12:00am

Training on Days: Monday to Friday Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

            

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure elevator fixture panels function smoothly, per the design of the panel layout
  • Interpret CAD schematics to understand circuit functionality and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform wiring and terminations for various connectors, control systems, circuit boards, actuators, sensors, and other electrical components
  • Inspect fixture panel according to the schematics and instruction, checking the quality of the process
  • Perform complicated and varied tasks and prioritize work orders to meet production schedule
  • Check floor stock by monitoring wiring inventory
  • Inspect assemblies visually with applicable measuring devices and identify non-conformance's as applicable
  • Follow quality control processes and complete inspection documentation as required
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Complete shop records accurately and on time
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

  • Electrical diploma or equivalent hands-on experience in the field
  • Mechanical/electromechanical assembly experience an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing preferred
  • Understand the function of each electrical and electronic component within the overall control panel system
  • Able to handle medium to heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) with sound judgment and discretion
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position

Additional Information

May be exposed to warm environments approximately 15% of the time and moderate noise levels 5% of the time
