Job Summary
Staff Plus is seeking a dedicated Food Production Associate to join our team in a fast-paced food processing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various stages of food production, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained. This role offers an opportunity to develop mechanical skills and gain experience in the food industry, with a focus on sanitation, packaging, and food safety protocols.

 

Job Type: Temporary, ongoing

Location: North York, ON

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Pay Rate: $17.60/hour

 

Duties

  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure efficient production flow
  • Assist with food processing tasks, including ingredient handling and product assembly
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet safety and quality specifications
  • Follow all safety procedures and sanitation protocols during production shifts
  • Support team members in meeting production goals while adhering to food safety regulations
  • Packing jars and bottles into cases and weighing ingredients

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or familiarity with the food production industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety compliance.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position.
