Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. If you are someone who likes working with your hands, fix machines and take things apart, then we are looking for you! Located in the heart of the industrial area in Kennedy and 401.
This is a full-time position for 40 hours a week with extra hours as required. This position is available immediately should you meet the requirements.

Pay Rate: $28.00/hour to $33.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment failures as well as perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems
- Perform mechanical repair & maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities.
- Motors, hydraulics & pneumatic systems, bearings & gearboxes. Water heating and cooling systems.
- Reading blueprints and schematics.
- Equipment installations & rigging.
- Welding & fabrication.
- Utilize Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement to maximize equipment output and processes
- Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment, hydraulic systems and pumps in a timely manner
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PM’s and updating the equipment databases
- Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and waste Qualifications
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possesses a strong safety focus ·
- Available and flexible to work in a fast paced environment, be self-driven to meet or exceed targets and work a flexible schedule that includes planned, unplanned and on-call shifts
- Experience with electronics & PLCs. AC & DC motors and controls an asset.
- Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
