We’re hiring an experienced Cheesemaker / Milk Grader to join a growing dairy team in Hamilton, Ontario. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in the cheese manufacturing process - from receiving milk to producing and grading cheese, running equipment, and ensuring top-quality standards.

Location: Hamilton, ON
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00/hour, based on experience
Hours: Day shift - up to 10 hours per day - starts between 6:00am and 8:00am as per business needs - Monday to Friday - Saturdays as needed
What You'll Do:
Operate equipment and follow all steps of the cheesemaking process (pasteurizing, setting, cutting, cooking, draining, pressing, brining)
Grade and record milk and cheese quality (pH, temperature, moisture, salt levels)
Unload milk from tankers, take samples, test quality, and approve/reject loads per Ontario regulations
Run, clean, and sanitize vats, pumps, silos, and production equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene rules (GMPs, HACCP, allergen controls, labeling)
Keep accurate records and production paperwork
Support continuous improvement (efficiency, yields, waste reduction) and help train assistants
2+ years’ experience in cheesemaking or dairy processing
Ontario Plant Milk Grader (PMG) certification (highly preferred)
Bulk Tank Milk Grader (BTMG) certification is an asset
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and use PPE as required
Access to a reliable vehicle (not on bus route)
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, and able to work full-time hours as required by this position
