Job Summary
Staff Plus is seeking a Material Coordinator for a short-term assignment of several weeks. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and conducting thorough variance investigations. This role requires the ability to perform detailed analysis, prepare accurate reports, and collaborate with operations teams to resolve inventory issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Scarborough, ON

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

Hours: Day Shift

Duties

  • Plan and complete regular inventory cycle counts with warehouse staff; report any differences to management.
  • Prepare inventory reports and monitor transfers and shipping to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels to meet customer needs and trigger production or reorders when inventory is low.
  • Process internal transfers (IBTs) and ensure correct product allocation between warehouses.
  • Ensure customer program KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Manage external inventory transfers and update stock records accordingly.
  • Supervise and review the work of shipping, receiving, and inventory clerks.
  • Process purchase orders and recommend reorder quantities based on stock levels and demand.
  • Review warehouse procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Set and monitor departmental KPIs; identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate cycle counts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Business or related studies
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain and inventory management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, and report building software
