Job Description

Staff Plus is hiring an experienced Press Operator for a manufacturing facility in Burlington, ON. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on machine operating experience who is comfortable with machine setup, adjustments, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting.

Candidates with previous CNC machine or stamping press experience are strongly preferred.

 

Job Type: Full time, ongoing

Location: Burlington, Ontario

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • Afternoon: 4:00pm - 2:00am

What You'll Do:

  • Set up and operate press and production machinery according to production requirements and specifications.
  • Load materials into machines and ensure proper positioning and alignment.
  • Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure, and alignment to maintain proper operation.
  • Monitor machine performance and production output throughout the shift.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Make machine adjustments when quality or production issues are identified.
  • Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and complete basic machine adjustments or repairs.
  • Use manufacturing tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Record production quantities, machine settings, downtime, defects, and other required production information.
  • Follow all workplace safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Assist with other production duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating manufacturing machinery.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is required.
  • Previous experience operating CNC machines, stamping presses, or similar production equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and production monitoring.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and other manufacturing tools.
  • Able to perform quality checks and identify production defects.
  • Able to lift up to 55 lb independently.
  • Able to stand and work on your feet for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
  • Reliable and able to consistently work the selected Monday-to-Thursday schedule.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position.
