Job Type: Full Time On-going

Location: Mississauga, ON

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Hours: Day shift Monday-Thursday 7:00am to 4:30am and Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

 What You'll Do:

 

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.  Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive  machining operations.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce outputs according to specifications.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g. Micrometers, Vernier calipers) while infilling and cleaning engraving in a timely manner.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Analyze job order and performs necessary calculations.
  • Makes improvements to set up times for tasks and simplify tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the client.
  • Provide feedback to project managers on design, modifications etc.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 15%, noise 10%.

Job Requirements

  • College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent CNC professional experience
  • At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings an asset
  • Excellent written communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
