Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Hand /Team Lead to oversee day-to-day operations in our food production facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Temporary - Permanent

Location: Scarborough, ON

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $23.00/hour

Hours: Flexible Schedule 

Job Description:

• They are responsible supervising the line employees’ work quality, productivity, and attendance, all while ensuring maximum quality output in a safe and profitable manner.
• Ensure GMPs are being followed at all times
• Oversee equipment set up, ensuring machine settings are appropriate based on product specification
• Provide orientation and training for all new team members, assess individual performance
• Manage daily work flow and break schedules
• Ensure product is finished and packed according to customer specification
• Maintain accurate inventory control of raw materials, packaging, sanitation chemicals, and finished goods; ensure production areas are equipped with supplies to avoid stoppage/downtime
• Monitor product temperature prior to packaging

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant mandatory
• 2 year+ of lead hand/team lead experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Office programs
• Must be flexible as shift schedule may change
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position.
