What You'll Do:

 

  • Lead the daily workflow of the COP Assembly team to meet production, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery targets.
  • Assemble elevator fixture panels and COP assemblies according to schematics, technical drawings, panel layouts, and production specifications.
  • Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Identify components and ensure assemblies are completed accurately and within required production timelines.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete detailed and complex assembly work.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and provide hands-on technical support to team members.
  • Inspect completed assemblies and identify defects, non-conformances, or quality concerns.
  • Ensure completed elevator fixture panels function according to design requirements.
  • Prioritize work orders and adjust team workload based on production requirements.
  • Monitor team productivity, attendance, efficiency, quality, and completion of assigned work.
  • Train and support new employees on assembly processes, quality requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Communicate production issues, delays, staffing concerns, and other operational matters to the Manager and other department leads.
  • Ensure inspection, quality-control, production, and shop documentation is completed accurately.
  • Complete shift handover records and ensure relevant information is communicated between shifts.
  • Review and approve employee time and attendance records as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure the team follows 5S standards.
  • Promote and reinforce Health & Safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Perform complicated and varied tasks and prioritize work orders to meet production schedule
    • Check floor stock by monitoring wiring inventory
    • Inspect assemblies visually with applicable measuring devices and identify non-conformance's as applicable
    • Follow quality control processes and complete inspection documentation as required
